About

Married to Michelle. My beautiful high school sweet heart.

Father to 2 little ones – James and Claire. So thrilled to be their father and overjoyed constantly watching them grow and develop.

Co-founder and CTO at Knack. We’re an education technology company focused on building our peer-to-peer tutoring platform at college campuses across the US. I’ve been coding and building the company and our team since early 2015. It has been a thrilling adventure so far!

Software engineer. I’ve loved computers ever since I first started playing Lemmings on Windows 3.1 back in the mid 90’s. I had early exposure to computers through my dad’s work, started building websites in 6th grade for my school and took what programming courses I could virtually through my high school since they didn’t offer any at the time.

Proud alumnus of the University of Florida. Go Gators! Class of 2011 Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 2013 Master’s in Electrical Engineering with a focus in Computer Engineering and a certificate in Engineering Leadership. When starting I knew I loved software but really wanted to learn about hardware. I figured college would be the best way to learn hardware and work through a rigourous math and science curriculum.

Gator football fan. You’ll find me watching Gator football games most Saturdays in the fall.

I run. I’m not fast but do enjoy enjoy getting outside despite Florida’s heat and humidity.

Avid reader when I can. I always seem to have a stack of books and do slowly get through them. I love learning and growing my understanding of the world.

Apple fan. I started learning to build iOS apps the first day that the software development kit was made public and have slowly been consumed by Apple products since then. My tool kit these days consists of a MacBook Pro, iPad, iPhone, Apple Watch, AirPods, an Apple Pencil and Apple TV’s for entertainment.

Value investor. I’ve followed Warren Buffett for years and consumed as much I could from books like The Intelligent Investor, Security Analysis and Letters to Shareholders. I have lots to learn still in the investing realm and it tends to be a focus of my reading.
